RENO, Nev. (May 22, 2017) – The Economic Development Authority of Western Nevada (EDAWN) announced today that Elemental LED, an engineering and technology-based manufacturer of LED lighting solutions,  is relocating its U.S. manufacturing and R&D operations to Reno, Nevada. The company is also moving its corporate headquarters into an adjacent property located in the South Meadows area and expects to be operational by end of third quarter of this year. Elemental LED plans to hire up to 100 employees over the next two years. They were also awarded Nevada business incentives earlier this month from the Governor’s Office of Economic Development.

Elemental LED is America’s largest manufacturer of low-voltage linear lighting solutions and innovative technology advancements. The company has two sales divisions; Diode LED (wholesale supplier of LED lighting solutions for commercial and residential applications) and Business Solutions (consulting, design and engineering large-scale projects customized for retail, hospitality and displays), which both focus on providing superior, patented technology and award-winning  solutions to tens of thousands of customers annually. Elemental LED’s products are displayed in over 2000 lighting showrooms world-wide. Their patented technology is showcased in their award-winning products BLAZE™, FLUID VIEW®, DAZZLE 24®, VALENT® Tape Lights and INFINILINE® Strip Light, CHROMAPATH® Channels, CLICKTIGHT® Pro Connectors, and LO-PRO® Junction Box.

“Elemental LED has seen an acceleration of growth over recent years, and we were simply out of room to expand. We explored a variety of location options that would offer competitive operating costs, extensive access to skilled talent, an attractive cost of living for our current and future staff, and a geographical location that supports our continued growth and expansion,” said Randy Holleschau, CEO of Elemental LED. “We ultimately decided that Reno, Nevada meets these criteria and underscores our commitment to both our customers and our employees. Therefore, we are thrilled to announce today that Reno, Nevada will be the future Elemental LED Headquarters and Operations Center.”

Elemental LED will hire to fill positions in engineering, project support, assembly, marketing, IT, purchasing, sales, customer service, shipping – receiving, and supply chain. To learn more about these career opportunities and current openings, go to https://elementalled.bamboohr.com/jobs/.

“It is my pleasure to welcome Elemental LED to the City of Reno and specifically to Ward 2,” said Ward 2 Reno City Council Member Naomi Duerr. “The Biggest Little City is an emerging hub for manufacturing, so it makes sense that Elemental LED has decided to add their bright light of innovation to the mix in the region.”

“We are excited that Elemental LED has selected Reno for their new operations, headquarters and is the place to be for their dramatic, projected growth,” said Mike Kazmierski, President and CEO of EDAWN. “The company’s long term plans to move some of their manufacturing from China to Reno will further help to strengthen our domestic productivity and the economy for generations. The fact that they also chose to move their headquarters here is significant and shows that they intend to be here for the long term. ”

Other local partners who assisted Elemental LED with their decision to relocate to Nevada are the Governor’s Office of Economic Development, Jones Lang LaSalle (David Cantwell, Jon Elder), Kidder-Mathews (Michael Hoeck, Michael Nevis), Panattoni Development (Doug Roberts, Paul Kinne), CBRE (David Woods, Matt Grimes), Pro-Equity (Tyler Sheldon), and Kylie Rowe (Dickson Realty).
