PUBLIC K-12 SCHOOLS
Washoe (www.washoe.k12.nv.us), Douglas, Lyon and Carson City Counties have excellent public school systems. These systems include several charter schools such as the nationally acclaimed Davidson Academy, which serves profoundly gifted students. Students are prepared to be successful in college, the world of work and to be contributing, active members of their communities.

The University of Nevada, Reno (

MBA program of the College of Business is ranked No. 17 in the United States by BusinessWeek magazine.
The Nevada Small Business Development Center (
www.nsbdc.org) is a statewide business assistance outreach program of the University of Nevada, Reno and the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Free and low cost information, assistance, counseling and training are provided for Nevada businesses.
The Desert Research Institute (DRI) (

Truckee Meadows Community College (

PRIVATE INSTITUTIONS OF HIGHER LEARNING
Sierra Nevada College (
www.sierranevada.edu) offers classes leading to Bachelor of Arts, Science, Fine Arts and Business Administration degrees. There is also a teacher education program leading to a master of arts degree as well as to initial teacher licensure in Nevada.
Morrison University (
www.morrison.neumont.edu) is an accredited private college offering career-focused programs including associate and bachelor of science degrees in computer science, accounting technology and management. An MBA is also offered.
University of Phoenix (www.phoenix.edu) in Reno offers bachelor of science degrees in criminal justice, management as well as MBA degrees, with various concentrations including heath care management.
Career College of Northern Nevada (
www.ccnn.edu) offers career technical training programs as well as Associate degrees in Medical Assistant, Paralegal and Electronic Engineering and Computer Technology. There are also short diploma programs in Medical Assisting and Electronics Repair Technician.
